COMMUNITY MEMBERS CONTRIBUTING

MORE SUCCESS STORIES ...
     (coming soon)

Milwaukee Jewish Free Loan Association (MJFLA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation established in 2009 to reach out with a helping hand in service to those in the greater Milwaukee area.  With a community supported revolving loan fund, MJFLA provides interest-free, short-term loans on a non-sectarian basis.  Members actively participate by watching as their contributions are recycled  again and again ... funding loans, being repaid, and funding more loans.

"When I was laid-off from my job after 2 years with the same insurance company, it took a few months to secure another position.  With the help of an interest-free loan from MJFLA, I was able to pay my rent and other bills to care for my two children until my new job started."

“With the help of financial aid, my family had just enough money to cover the cost of tuition, room and board for my college education. But without books and school supplies college isn't really possible.  A Jewish Interest Free Loan (Atlanta, GA) helped me not only pay for my books and supplies, but travel home for the holidays and even afford a few snacks and cups of coffee during late night study sessions.”

“In my father's last year of dental school, finances became tight and he was unable to pay tuition. With the help of a Jewish Free Loan (Detroit, MI), my dad was able to finish dental school, graduate, and become a dentist.  He was so grateful that in future years when he had established his practice, he was able to give back two-fold to the program that had helped him in his time of need.  All of our lives - and the lives of others - would have been drastically different if it had not been for the Jewish Free Loan.”

“Shortly after having a baby, I was laid off from my job.  It took me three months to get a new job, and it was only part-time.  I was trying to pay off my debts, but my income was so small I could only make minimal payments.  I was getting nowhere.  With the generous help of MJFLA, I was able to get my expenses under control.  Now, I am getting somewhere.  I am so grateful.  Additionally, it makes me feel good to know that my payments will go to help others.  Win-Win.”

         ~ Laura R., Milwaukee, WI

“I was able to pay my rent thanks to the help of the Jewish Interest Free Loan Fund ... I’m not sure what I would have done without my free loan!”
